Thank you for your interest in the Marine Science Magnet High School!
MSMHS is accepting student applications for the 2024-2025 school year from October 1, 2023 until January 12, 2024.
You will receive an email confirmation from PowerSchool Enrollment when you successfully submit your application.
We encourage interested families to attend one of our Open Houses for more information and a tour of our school:
Thursday, November 9th – 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, December 2nd – 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. (Drop-In Open House)
Thursday, January 4th – 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
The only prerequisites for applying to MSMHS: students who are residents of Connecticut at the time of applying and currently enrolled in the 8th grade are eligible to submit an application for the MSMHS freshman class. A small number of sophomore seats may be available.
Applicants are selected through a random electronic lottery process. Families will be notified via email and/or text message by the end of January 2024.

Southeastern Connecticut Magnet Schools are committed to serving military families and their children. If slots are available, Marine Science Magnet High School may assist highly mobile families who transfer to the region following the regular application period.
